You can simply connect to a computer and see if it works, but TRENDnet Cable Tester helps to build some confidence. This was my first attempt to CAT5 / 6 Ethernet wire and crimp my house. I assume that the tool TRENDnet Cable Tester was doing something complex, but it does not. It just tells you that all connections are tight. I had absolutely no problem with this tool. It worked perfectly. It just does not really test the line other than the connections from one side to the other side. TRENDnet Cable Tester is * not * get twisted pair questions.

By the way, do not forget to look at the color schemes and make sure the right to make twisted pairs. TRENDnet Cable Tester is not enough just the right Go straight-through connections from one side to another. You must match the correct pairs. Although the color does not matter, you need two pairs of waiting on the other side. This is how the error correction is not assuming the same failure to see on each twisted pair signal and cancels the same in both. If you do not have the correct categories can not rectify errors.
